One Stop

One Stop

All from one source: from early design to finished product — design, moulding & assembly, packaging, sterilisation.

  1. Design

    From concept to finished product.

Application consulting, material selection, design development and validation, tooling and equipment know-how, and regulatory support accompany your project with years of expertise and experience.

A team of technical and industrial design experts
  2. Moulding and assembly

Extremely clean, thanks to automated production processes.

Patented manufacturing process protects against particle contamination. 100% visual inspection of the syringe bodies.

100% cleanroom manufacturing of all syringe components
  3. Packaging

    Prepared for sterilisation.

Standardised packaging in nest-and-tub systems and in header bags.

    Standard nest and tub
  4. Sterilisation

Ethylene oxide, in our own chambers.

The final step stays in-house. No transport to a contract steriliser. Validated sterilisation cycles ensure reliably sterile product. In-house microbiology safeguards the sterilisation.

    Gentle sterilisation, no material discolouration

Material properties

Barrier performance, break resistance and optical quality all shape the application – this is what our COP material delivers:

Break-resistant during filling and use

During filling, transport and use, the risk of the system bursting is low. The inner wall stays stable – no delamination, no free flakes in the drug solution.

Pressure stability

Designed to withstand the high pressure generated by injectors and pen systems.

Barrier

COP acts as a gas and water vapour barrier, protecting sensitive APIs.

Transparency

Excellent transparency ensures reliable inspection of the fill media, both on your filling line and at the point of use.

Brilliance

Transparency and brilliance give the material a high-quality appearance. Gentle EtO sterilisation prevents the material from yellowing.

Design space and precision

Using polymer in injection moulding opens up extensive design possibilities, making your application safer and more efficient. With tight tolerances at the same time, functions such as Luer lock can be moulded permanently into the barrel in a single shot, with no subsequent assembly.

Product families

All prefillable syringes are primarily implemented in COP, though a COC version can also be realised. Small and mid-volume syringes are supplied in nest and tub. Thanks to gentle EtO sterilisation, the systems keep their transparency – and stay brilliant without any additional colouring.

Small-volume prefillable syringes

Small-volume prefillable syringes

0.3 to 5 ml, as a Luer lock syringe, with a choice of closures. Particularly suited to hand-held applications, such as in ophthalmology or dermatological use with hyaluronic acid.

Supplied in standard nest and tub for broad compatibility with standardised filling equipment.

Mid-volume prefillable syringes

Mid-volume prefillable syringes

10 to 20 ml, as a Luer lock syringe with an optional tamper-evident seal, suited to hand-held use as well as in combination with injectors, for example in radiological applications.

Supplied in standard nest and tub for broad compatibility with standardised filling equipment.

Large-volume prefillable syringes

Large-volume prefillable syringes

100 to 250 ml, as a Luer lock cartridge, suited to injectors, such as radiological contrast-media applications.

Supplied in carrier and double bag, pre-sterilised for specific filling lines.

Matched to each other for efficient processing and safe handling.

Applications

Our pharmaceutical packaging and devices are used in the following fields.

  • OphthalmologyExtremely low-particle, small-volume PFS, silicone-reduced or silicone-free.
  • Contrast mediaMore than 10 years of deliveries to Japan-quality standards.
  • CosmeticsExtremely transparent, small-volume solutions with low extrusion forces.
  • InjectorsTested for the high-pressure applications typical of injectors.
  • BiologicsSilicone-reduced or silicone-free solutions in various sizes, in development.
  • Dental
  • Urology
  • Veterinary

Production

A clean-room environment, particle control and a patented manufacturing process accompany the product from moulding through to the finished packaging.

Cleanroom manufacturing

All manufacturing processes, from moulding through assembly to primary packaging, are carried out in monitored cleanrooms. Proprietary, patented manufacturing processes also ensure only the smallest sub-visible particle loads.

Monitoring

Transcoject's own laboratories monitor cleanrooms, equipment and products for potential microbiological and physicochemical contamination, such as residual gas, bioburden and endotoxins.

Testing and release

All products undergo extensive functional and visual testing and are assessed against specified properties, normative requirements and agreed quality levels.

Unternehmen

A mid-sized, family-owned company

Transcoject is a mid-sized, family-owned company based in Neumünster, Schleswig-Holstein.

Since 1969

We are a mid-sized, family-owned company, developing medical devices in Neumünster since 1969, and Pharma Packaging for more than 25 years.

One Stop

Development, injection moulding and assembly, packaging and sterilisation, all from one source.

Short decision-making paths

Around 150 employees and short decision-making paths ensure fast response times, flexibility and agility.

Customisation

Alongside standard solutions, we offer extensive customisation options tailored to your specific requirements.

Downstream expertise

We always work with our customers to find the optimal solution for their downstream processes.

History

Karl-Heinz Rolle and Sven Husted-Andersen initially founded Transcoject GmbH in Neumünster as a sister company to Transcodan. By 1972, the company was among the world's first manufacturers of polymer disposable syringes.

In 1997, Dr Alexander Rolle and Philipp Rolle took over as managing partners in the second generation, followed by Dr Christian von Falkenhausen as sole managing director in 2009.

For more than 25 years, Transcoject has developed, produced and supplied pharmaceutical primary packaging – initially large-volume cartridges for contrast media up to 250 ml, and for more than 10 years also mid- and small-volume prefillable syringes and cartridges.

Mission statement

In light of this responsibility, we are committed to the highest standards of quality, precision and medical benefit, and we align our actions with the relevant regulatory requirements — laws, standards and regulations.

Towards our customers, we pursue sustainable customer-supplier relationships and aim to be a reliable business partner, built on products of the highest quality along with reliability, flexibility and delivery performance. Towards our employees, as an internationally minded, mid-sized company in family hands we value long-standing personal relationships and recognise our employees as the decisive pillar of our success. We maintain a culture of respect, fairness and mutual understanding, and follow a cooperative leadership style that fosters personal responsibility and trust in our employees' abilities.

Towards our suppliers, we maintain open, trusting relationships and seek long-term partnerships; our priorities are absolute reliability in quality and on-time delivery, together with fair market pricing. Towards our shareholders, our actions are geared towards sustainable growth, aiming for steady value appreciation and an appropriate return. Towards the environment, health and society, our goal is to protect our employees, facilities and the environment from harm, conserve natural resources, and align our actions with the principles of the UN Global Compact.
